I LOVED Carol. She was the best!
I
talked to a lot of photographers and decided on Carol because she seemed
laid back and easy to work with (and she was) and this is important when
your significant other hates having his picture taken! I also love her
work. Our pictures turned out fabulous!
We
have gotten so many compliments on them. She does some neat things that
other photographers do not do (ie. The black and white picture with only
the flowers in color) and that was also a deciding factor with me.
I think we had the Storybook plan and we had so many pictures to
choose from and the online ordering was key for us with so many people
in our family to deal with.
She got a lot of good shots, both posed and photojournalistic and
really has an eye for that sort of thing. I think she was with us for 8
hours or something like that and that was such a great thing because our
wedding was at night but we also have a lot of pictures in the daylight
in the grass and outdoors.
I
would also suggest seeing your fiancé before your wedding. That is when
she got the best pictures of us! I think we had 3 hours or something
before the ceremony and went all over the place and got some really good
shots. Our wedding was at Glenn Memorial, so we had the beautiful campus
of Emory as a backdrop.
One thing I wish I had done was a wedding portrait and I know she
would have done a great job with that, but I was just so busy beforehand
and could not find the time to get the dress and the veil on and go over
to her studio.
I
would definitely select her again if I had the decision to make again.
As a matter of fact I would ask her to do photography for us in the
future if we have children and that sort of thing.
I don’t know if you are dealing with a budget or not (Most
brides usually are I think), and it is a lot of money but it is well
worth it.

Our wedding is supposed to be in I Do for Brides in the Spring so you
can see some pics in it.

Our experience with Carol was wonderful. She was patient with us as well as with our family
while all the chaos was going on. She was on time and ready to take pictures when the time was right.
She did a great job capturing us when we didn't know it and did it beautifully.
She had great suggestions for poses and took control when it was necessary.
I highly recommend her and I know she strives to personalize each couples' special day.
One lesson we learned was to spend extra money to have her lay out your photo album.
We tried to save money by saying we will do it later and we have been married for a year and a half
and still have no wedding album! You won't get around to it-it is too overwhelming.

photos are beautiful.
I think the perfect photographer is one who knows
what she/he is doing, works with the couple
to determine ahead of time what are the "normal"
photos that will be shot, as well as
"special" photos you may desire.
A good
organizer who works well under the restraints of time
simply cannot take time to play and joke.
Carol was personable before the wedding, and she has
been personable since. But during the
wedding, she was all business.
MANY bystanders complimented my choice of
photographer, because she DID handle
things. Nicely, but firmly. I appreciated
it. I had too much on my mind and too
many distractions.
I know the photographer is a big expense, but my view
of that particular expense is that it is one of the
most important, if not THE most important. The
pictures are your long-lasting memories. And I like
the "Story Book" style Carol does.
